The educational situation in Samarra has the same difficulties experienced by the education at the
national scale, Linking the educational status conditions of the population based on a thorough knowledge of the size of the two together, and compared the situation in quantitative terms in the education system with the adopted standards of the authorities in Iraq. It is necessary to recognize that detailed information on education in Samarra is not completely available officially ,they can be summarized a as follows :

-    Number of primary schools across the district of Samarra are (123) in (92) buildings only.
-The number of secondary and vocational schools, Teachers Institutes and kindergartens is very low for the need of the district and this true with the primary schools.
-    There are (21) schools built of mud.
-    There are (6) schools detonated during the elections time .
-There were two Preparatory schools destroyed and demolished before the elections two days before U.S. forces to close the camp, namely: middle Mutasim Industrial School and The Islamic Studies Preparatory School.
-The Education Department and the Female Teachers Institute are occupied by the U.S. forces.
-The number of schools that need renovation and addition of buildings, studying wards, and health facilities and units and fences is (68) schools
